Xbox 360 price cut/new processor?

They don't to price cut ... they have a killer app coming next month that will boost the sale of XBOX 360.
Gears of War
Splinter Cell Double Agent
Pro Evolution Soccer 6 , FIFA 06 next Exclsuive to 360 = Big thing in europe
Also the HD-DVD on XBOX 360 will work on PC via USB , it was confirmed by microsoft today.

Power wise the Wi doesn't compete in my book - the specs are just a bit off from the last gen's GameCube. The only thing they have going is the controller. The Xbox 360 and the PS3 will duke this one out.

I want a die shrink, a cooler-running 360 would be nice... Think MS would let me swap my launch day box for a 65nm one sometime next year? 😀

Just "encourage" your 360 to get the three rings of death after word gets out that the die shrink is available. 😉

I thought there was word that MS was dropping the price on the Xbox 360 just in Japan to compete against the PS3 over there.

They did do a price drop for the Core 360 in Japan already. They are also going to bundle Blue Dragon with the system.

As we've already debated over...that is pretty obvious. But once again Nintendo themselves they were marketing towards the "casual gamer." Something along the lines of wanting anyone and everyone to feel at home playing videogames, whether it be a die hard or a soccer mom.

All I'm saying is, if the Wii sells well that could prompt Microsoft to drop the price on the 360. Go back to the original post I replied to, that's what started this whole tangent. 😉

The Xbox 360 Core system is only $300, so it'd only take a $50 price drop for them to be able to say you can get a more powerful system for the same price.

Nintendo is now just being like apple ... they have lost respect from me and found a way to make themselves look like underdog and the good guy when they aren't really doing crap all. Graphic doesn't matter talk is all Bullcrap , Online support is totally crap :! one game in 2006 will have Wii Online Multiplayer .. Pokemon and that game isn't coming to USA untill 2007 , just Japan this year. play Zelda on Wii and try to use the bow and arrow and it freaking sucks and then they went out of there way to screw all the hardcore Zelda fan up by making Zelda TWP on Gamecube Japan exclusive. Also they wouldn't be selling it at store but at an online website, so that noobs wouldn't know how to obtain a copy. Also production cost for the Wii is about $100 !!! They sell it at $250USD in USA and ($300USD) $399AUD in AUstralia with not even one classical remote control. Also Wii sport is a game that will be fun for 2 days and then you will get bored with it later on.

In Australia at EB , JB highfi:
Nintendo Wii :
Wii console ($399AUD) + Zelda ($99.95AUD) + Wii Sport (free) + Classic Controller (40AUD) + 2nd Wii controller with wii mote ($80) + 4GB SD card ($120AUD) = $737 AUD

At JB High FI
Xbox 360 :
XBOX 360Console with 20GBHDD + extra Controllers + Play & Charge Kit + Dead Rising = $800AUD

So what is so cheap about Wii in Australia when you buy wii plus the things you need ;?

Now games that could have online Mutiplayer Q4 06/Q1 07 Launch :
Zelda Coop = has been done with Four Swords zelda on gamecube/gameboy advance
Wii sport = Don't even get me started on this game , This game should have online mutiplayer and nintendo should have no excuse for it !
Red Steel = a 21Million dollar Buget game and it totally sucks as a FPS and doesn't even have a freaken Online Mutiplayer !! For god sake , a game like Gears of War has a mutiplayer and it has a 14million budget.
Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 = a fighting game , should have a mutiplayer :! no reason not to have one
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption = no mutiplayer again

Does Nintendo Care about online Mutiplayer .. will we have the same ****** friend code crap ?

Now Zelda the game that should have come out on Gamecube a year ago but was delayed to be launched on Wii , then they also delayed the gamecube version so Wii Zelda would have a month head start at sales and then they said "lets not even release it in USA and rest of world" keep it Japanese exclusive and sell it on online website. I played the game at E3 2006 and it sucked on wii :!

Now Graphic doesn't matter bullcrap talk : http://www.cliffyb.com/did.mp3 listen to cliffyB GDC 05 Lectures

p.s. I am buying the console at launch , this was my way of saying Nintendo isn't your friend :!

What are you talking about? Where did you hear Twilight Princess wasn't going to be available for GameCube outside of Japan?

I'm not sure what he's talking about either. Twilight Princess already has a US release date...pre-orders have been going on for a while...

It isn't :! http://au.gamespot.com/gamecube/action/thelegendofzelda/news.html?sid=6159644

Read :! i think your not up to date on Nintendo wrong doing :!

Ok... that article speaks only of the Japanese version of the game being available online only. It does not speak of any other versions of the game or how they will be distributed. It does not say that the game would not be released in other regions.

Well, that article basically repeated what kabob and I already said in this thread, with the exception that neither kabob nor I misused the phrase "begged the question." What the hell are these people learning in their journalism classes?

Yes it has been removed from GameSpot/EBGames' websites, yes it still shows up on Best Buy, Walmart and Amazon.com's website, and none of that means anything. It still shows up on Nintendo's website, but that just means they haven't made any official announcements about a change.

That article is speculation, nothing more. It may turn out to be true, it may not. We'll see. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense that they would release it on the GC in Japan but not the US... if they're going to pull it to boost sales on the Wii, you'd think they'd do that worldwide. Who knows.

so why don't Nintendo come out and Say "YES ZELDA TP is on track for gamecube " ... They aren't saying crap all.

Apparantly they have:

[UPDATE] Since this story went live, Nintendo has contacted several online media outlets, including Joystiq, to deny the GC Zelda has gone the way of the dodo. "Online reports about the Nintendo GameCube version of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess are incorrect. The amazing game will be available at retail outlets nationwide on December 13," a rep reportedly said.
