Apparantly they have:

[UPDATE] Since this story went live, Nintendo has contacted several online media outlets, including Joystiq, to deny the GC Zelda has gone the way of the dodo. Thank goodness. That would have made me a bit upset if they pulled the last game that I ever planned to buy for the Gamecube...
