We don't know how much your budget is and how much a Xbox 360 costs. We also don't know your gaming preference. Do you prefer Xbox or PC? PC gaming will cost more at the end of the day, but in many people's opinion it offers better experience due to increased graphics, mods, etc. Xbox 360 gaming is SIMPLE, plug and play and it works.

I really can't give a SOLID recommendation unless you can give us a breakdown as when you talk in all caps, it's hard to understand, not to mention sentence structure just sucks. What I can tell you though is that you'll also need more ram. 2 GB of ram isn't enough. At the VERY least 4, but I'd say you should get 8 GB of ram.

Hmm, I'll go against everyone and say don't get an Xbox.
First, The new Xbox is being announced in 2 days.
Second, A new Xbox 360 is also being released. It's supposed to be slimmer, and cheaper than the current one if rumors are correct.
Third, are you really going to want to play an Xbox 360 come this christmas time when everyone is playing Xbox 720 or whatever it's called?

I'd upgrade the PC, then later down the road get the new xbox 720. Rather than get a new Xbox 360 that will be obsolete in 6 months (or whenever you get the new xbox where you live so maybe 12 months). The PC with the same amount of cash you use to purchase an Xbox 360 will offer better performance/graphics. You'll be able to enjoy the new games coming out. Rather than purchasing a 360 and playing old games.

For the PC you'll need more than a video card and power supply. 2GB of ram is not enough for today's games. You'll need 4GB+.

And why waste good money on an 8 year old console when you have PS4 and Xbox Infinity coming out this year.

I'm laughing at your use of all caps.

But for you, I'd suggest a xbox.

You don't have enough RAM and from what I can tell, you tried running it on your iGPU?

Buy a used ps3 or Xbox. I'm not sure if they are readily avail in your country but here they are about 100us/5500rs

I would lean toward a used Xbox360 and save for a complete computer system rebuild.

add 2GB of ram and a HD7750 and will you will be running most games clearly better than the consoles, and you can keep your old PSU.

games are much cheaper on the PC, no need to pay for Xbox Live and the Xbox 360 is not going to see many new games next year...

sure a q8200 is bad for gaming, but I think you can run most games "ok".

I keep hearing this. Someone point me to where the new AAA PC games are cheaper? Don't mention bundled games.. All I see is junk from 2-3 years ago that I can buy console versions used for less.

XBL sucks, PS3 online is free

360 and PS3 are going to see almost EVERY game for the next 2 years. Why develop games for two consoles that are not even out where there are 160 MILLION ps3/360 consoles already in people's homes. Expect to see these consoles prices slashed again with another shit ton produced and sold. The only exceptions are going to be exclusive next gen titles that you won't see on PC either.

what are you talking about? do you not check the hot deals section as even most newer pc games on go sale for 10 bucks or less within 6 months of release. Hitman Absolution was just 5 bucks last week on amazon. and those bundled games can be bought in fs section of other forums for almost nothing. for less than 35 bucks I have picked up Far Cry 3, Crysis 3, FC 3 Blood Dragon, Tomb Raider and Bioshock Infinite. if you compare the console game sale prices to what you can get pc games for you will easily see that you can save enough money every 2-3 years to build a gaming pc.

I said dont mention bundled games (that are against the tos to sale) and you go write an entire paragraph listing EVERY bundled game. With the exception of those few the game prices are pretty comparable. Then ypu add that you can rent unlimited games for 20 $ or less a month. I have actually purchased only 4 console games this year. After they got boring I sold them for almost what I paid for them. Our household rents and beats most titles. Sports ill buy on sale for 50 $ new and sell for 40 $ 2 months later.

because its stupid to ignore reality. the games are there and available for purchase. hell you can buy the games right on Nvidia's own forums even if they come with an Nvidia card. and if you want to pretend they dont exist then fine as I gave you an example of Hitman being 5 bucks last week.

if you only buy 4 games a year then of course the difference is no big deal.

i cannot believe all the pro xbox post i have seen so far. wow!!!!!

Man, its PC all the way. I would rather game on my old q6600 than an xbox any day of the week. I mean there really isnt no comparison.

last august I bought my 5yr old the xbox360 (birthday) because i thought it would be more convenient. i also bought a decent library to go with it, games that i thought i would play. Trouble is, it feels like a toy. The lowly textures and lack of AA. Its like you take a PC title and put it on lowest low at 800x600 res on an LCD that only looks good at 1080 native. Its just pitiful. I wasted good money on the xbox, i cant enjoy playing on it.......worse, my 5 yr old son snubs the xbox too. He is always playing games on my PCs. Actually i have re-bought games to have the PC version.

There is no way i would buy an xbox today. I regret buying one a year ago. PC is hands down the better choice. Games are cheaper (if you know how to buy them) and there is a ton of Free To Play titles that really kick butt. The xbox is a dated toy that u dont see how anyone here on a PC forum could recommend it. Its like what the ......

there is a reason why people are recommending the xbox. You need to be able to read between the lines

I agree with the XBox recommendations. On a budget and with a system which would need at least a new Video card and more DDR2 RAM (which is more expensive). Even with those upgrades, a 2.33 Ghz C2Q it still won't be fast.

Great you picked a game that is a year old that was on sale for one weekend for 5$. Since we dont wont to "ignore reality" lets not ignore ebay. You can buy HM Absolution ps3/360 for 10$ TODAY. Play it for the next year and still get 5$ for it. Total cost TODAY (not on sale or promo) 5$. Same exact price.
FWIW I rented this game on the RELEASE date. Played it for about 5 days. After the main story it was boring. I got everything I wanted out of that game for $3.20. Again that was on the release date, not a year later.

Please go back to telling us how there will be no games 360/ps3 this year.. lol My family plays through at least 30 console games a year. Just dont see any need to buy them

Show me the list of exclusive titles being released this year on the Xbox 360 and PS3. That list is pitifully small.

What is going to be on PC that I wont be able to play on PS3 or 360? The OP wants to know what will get him by playing AAA titles. It was suggested nothing was going to be on 360/ps3 this year so PC was somehow better. I got both but interested to know what AAA titles I wont be able to rent on my console?
