Xbox 360 Mic?

I've had the original POS MS wired version and the wireless mic since it launched. Now, my mic seems to have broken. Are the new generation of MS wired mics worth a crap? Is there a 3rd party mic that is around the same price (or less) and is of better quality? I haven't purchased a mic in quite some time. I was very happy with my wireless for the years I've had it. It just seemed to take a crap on me for some reason and I don't want to pay another $50 for it.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

aint worth it, im not gonna get another one when mine break. this thing http://www.amazon.com/Jabra-C500-PTT...309227&sr=8-13 work the same way for about $6 except it doesn't have the volume control, but it can turn the mic on and off.

that's a good idea. i was just gonna buy one of those generic telemarketer phone headsets to replace mine.

i'd wonder how good the mic on something like that jabra would work, though. i like the one-ear headsets because most have a big old-school boom mic that works well.
