buy.com had the xbox 360 live 12month + 1month gold subscription for few weeks ago for 38.99 and it slowly jumped back to 48.99.

checked today and it's back at 38.99 so if you missed it the first time like i did, go and get one now

should be both, in the dashboard you can just put in the new code I believe and it gives you the credit toward your account.

I have both xbox 360 & PS3 and I have no problem playing multiplayer on the sony servers.
