It will without a doubt be the new revision with in line volume control. The headset with volume control at the connector was eliminated precisely because of incompatibility the messenger pad.

Wow. I need to read the entire thread and check out links before I come to an incorrect conclusion about a deal.

Originally, I thought this was just the chat pad and 12 months of Gold Live service. Understandably, I didn't think $55 shipped was that bundle was very hot. I checked back today and saw that Amazon had lowered their price, so I looked into it further and discovered that it came with PGR4 and a Wired Headset. Absolutely hot.

Lesson learned. Thanks for the heads up.

It's making it tough decision for me because I don't pay sales tax at Scamazon, but do a Best Buy. (Watchmen trailers haven't intrigued me any)

For me it was easy. The nearest Best Buy is 2+ gallons of gas away, and my tax would be around $3.50. That makes Best Buy at least $7.50 more for me as the movie doesn't interest me as well.
