Xbox 360 hell!

I dunno if I should post this in here or somewhere else???

So does anyone have the same problem I have that when watching Netflix on my 360 it just randomly stops playing and goes back to the title you are watching causing you to hit resume?

Or while watching it just skips back? Or forward? Or pauses?

I mean its driving me crazy!!!!!

Any insight would be most appreciated.

Sounds to me like your XBOX remote is randomly sending button presses to the console (or the console has a glitch). Check to make sure the battery is fully charged, and try a different remote if you have one.

Either that or someone else in the house is messing with you...

This happens to me when I am skipping many frames at once. When it is on "slow" fast forward, it won't happen, but the moment I hit Play after it has been on "fast" fast forward, it will usually return to the episode select screen.

I really hate the 360's Netflix implementation. It's always buffering for me; does it usually 1-3 times per 45-minute TV episode. Often it drops down only to go back up a minute later. I've only had it boot me back to the main screen a couple times, but it's still annoying when it does.

I've switched to using a WD TV Live Plus for Netflix and it's a huge improvement. No more rebuffering, no more booting back to home. The only issue with Netflix playback is that the fast forwarding sometimes goes at normal speed, but other times goes at super-fast speed, so if I'm trying to skip a TV show's intro or something, I sometimes overshoot it by a lot.

I got that prob a long time ago, usually when either nf or ms was doing some stupid update. I think the xbox has the best implementation of the app. I use it on my vibrant, ip4, various pc and mac laptops and recently on my asus transformer and I alawys wish these other devices had the xbox version. except for the pc/mac version. Those are the best. the tf is the worse.

You haven't tried the PS3's then. Re: Netflix, PS3 > Xbox

The interface is nicely laid out and very responsive. The problem is all in the playback. It just sucks, has to rebuffer about once every half hour, sometimes more. Never had that happen with any other devices in my house, and the Xbox was wired the whole time too. Happens even if I'm careful to make sure nothing else is using bandwidth. I don't have the fastest connection, but it's still about 5 Mbps which should be more than enough.
