Wow that's hot. I'm in Kansas, where would be the best place to price match? We have a lot of the big chains, Best Buy, Gamestop/EB, Walmart, Kmart, etc. Is there any chance of them honoring the PM considering this deal is not from a store anywhere near me?

Or if someone wants to buy one and ship it to me I would be eternally grateful. I'm dead serious.
 
I think as long as it is a B&M and not an online store they should honor the price match. CC or BB would be the best bet. I don't think walmart, kmart, or eb/gamestop price match. I could be wrong though.
 
Cool, thank for the advice. Unfortunately the closest CC is 50 mi away, but I will try BB.

EDIT: Sorry to keep bugging you guys, but they will accept a printout for PM, right? I actually never done one before, so I have no idea what all I need. Just bring the full printout to the store? Do they call them up to verify the price?
 
Yeah they might call. I am going to call them up in the morning and see what they say before I go out (them being GamePlay).

As long as you call and verify, you have no worries when you go to Best buy. The printout should work, I dont see why not. As it proves the price. Which they can call to verify.
 
As with any experience with BB or CC pricematch, it's a YMMV. So many factors to consider: ie the mood of the customer rep, manager, alignment of the planets, etc.

pricematch might very well work, but if you don't have any of those stores in your area, not a chance. Good luck to all those that actually have one of these places in their area 🙂
 
That is not quite true Zyfer some reports on Fatwallet and a few other forums are looking pretty good. I think GamePlay is only in CA which excludes everyone but CA, but others have gotten it. It is worth a try.
 
circuit city's response - Not local
Best Buy's Response - No Date on Ad. argued that they could call it in, and they said that I brought the ad in, so it's my responsibility. Then I told them "I can call it in for you" and they said "well i need an ad with a date, then i'll do it for you. The ad says 'Christmas', and Christmas is over my brother. This is the best buy in west covina, and circuit city in west covina.

Thus, this awesome deal did NOT work for me.

Yeah I tried as well, BB told me store has to be within 60 mi. Figured as much, oh well. Guess you just have to get lucky and talk to a service rep who either doesn't care about their job or doesn't know what they're doing. Unfortunately, the one I talked to did. 😛

To anybody in California with good heat: You want to buy this for me?? I'm serious. Will pay for the drive, taxes, shipping, and maybe even throw in $5-10 for your trouble.

I don't remember any stipulation on the ad about one per customer, so hopefully some kind person who's going to get one for themselves would be willing to buy a few extras for us. 😀 😀

yeah i had a feeling that if i drove down to the local stores over there, they will FIND SOME OTHER STUPID excuse to NOT price match the deal. I fought hard. Long and hard for this stupid thing, and no go.
 
I live in LA and I'm willing to give it a shot. If you go to the fatwallet site there are a bunch of fools that say it worked. If I can get extras I am happy to ship to whoever...
