most of the new games are 720p res with 4xaa
thats 1280x720 progressive.
if its a Dell 24 incher youve got i think you'd be able to play in a 12x7 window with black borders round the image, and it would look good.
im just not sure about the DVI interface in a magazine ive got they say PS3 = 2xHDMI and XBOX360 = TBA
also Xbox will only support = 480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i
720 is too small for your monitor, 1080 is too large and its interlaced.

Sounds like a good resolution for standard 17"/19" LCDs tho.![]()

Sounds like a bad res for a standard 17/19 LCD as 1280 x 720 is widescreen, that would look annoying on a "smaller" lcd due to the black bars.
To the OP, I have no idea about the DVI out but you will be able to hook it to your LCD (Sounds like a Dell 2005 fpw) and it will play widescreen with only tiny bars on the side. Due to the physical pixels of a 2005 fpw I have no idea how sharp the picture will look because I have never ran anything on my 2005fpw at 1280x720 but as the monitor usually scales good I am willing to bet it will look nice.
