Yeah, its better to think of it that way than with everything seperately! 😀

Makes the Premium look bad!

uh ok..

You're all completely missing the point, here.

For $479 minus 300 (for selling your old xbox 360 prem on eBay), you get an xbox 360 with a WARRANTY... which is right on time considering the warranty on your first 360 has either already expired, or is going to expire very soon.

$179 for a new warranty, black wrapping, and a large hard drive.

My 360 fried 30 days out of warranty. Damn.

If these have 65nm processors, I'll be picking one up on launch day, and hocking my old one on eBay.

Good luck getting $300 for an old gen console that has already been phased out. Keep in mind the 120GB hdd on it's own retails for $179.99.

Phased out? Only difference is the HDMI and 120gb. Hardly an "old gen" console.

They DON'T have 65nm processors, yet.

Anyway, I got my xbox360 Premium w/ a 2 year warranty for about $250 ARs. If it dies I believe I get back my purchase price (minus the warranty cost) which I believe was about $400. I am hoping it croaks in about a year and then I get a really cheap upgrade to an xbox360 with a better processor, cooling, and connectors.

mine fried out 30 days after warranty too. i would buy this if it had the 65nm cpu. the problem with mine was actually the video chip over heated. it needs a 65nm gpu also.

that said this doesnt have it, so why bother. a brand new 360 premium is like $320 on ebay. and with circuit city charging tax its basically $170 more to get this. not sure its even worth it.

Had mine for over a year and never had a problem.

120gb hard drive is useless unless you're renting / buying high def movies through the market place.

If you download all the demos in the market place, you're still only looking at 25-30gb. (And you don't need ALL the demos)

The 120gb hard drive and hdmi are the only differences.

I could either spend 180 on the HDD, or spend 180 on a new console with a warranty! (and hdmi!)

The choice for me is clear.

I may have to wait until they have the 65nm ones, though.

Any news on if Costco will have them on launch day? EDIT: For that matter, does anyone know if Costco in the past has had consoles on launch day?

I just looked at Circuit City's listing for the game. It seems kind of deceptive to include "Wireless receiver" on the list of features. I understand it means the receiver for the controllers, but not everyone is as well versed in the 360 tech. It's also on the pages for the other models.

LOL @ MS calling it "Elite High-Definition Gaming System."

Sony should start calling PS3 that too.

Ive been a big 360 fan, but this model is a mistake. Hdmi, more hard drive space.. who asked for these things?
Lower price, hddvd, even wifi were higher on most ppls list.
I can maybe understand hddvd being excluded, but no wifi is inexcusable in a "high end" product they are marketing this as.

All this is doing is making the ps3 look good in comparison to features. What crack head in ms thought this up anyway.
