anyone who buys the core is seriously a moron. we all know how useful the HD in the xbox was. the xbox 360 HD is $100 itself, so buying the core for $300 + the HD for $100 brings you to the price of the premium, which also includes the

- HD Cables
- Wireless Controller
- Remote Control
- XBox Live Headset

Not to mention, they are REALLY pushing xbox live with this console (and being an avid use of xbox live right now, i strongly recommend you try it!!).

Get the deluxe one. the only reason they put out the core was so they could say they are selling it for $300.

Luckily I don't have to worry about it since I won one from mountain dew, and its the premium pack w/need for speed 😀

Odds are both shipments will be at the store on launch. One might be the afternoon truck instead of the afternoon truck the day before.

Circuit City will not be taking pre orders, I assume BB will be the same. Try walmart, target, sears, kbtoys, ?

EBgames and Gamestop were but for like 2nd shipment

i guess there is no way to get in for the 1st shipment anymore

Depends on your target market. Young, informed adults will purchase the 400$ box. Parents will get the 300$ one, because they don't know any better. But no parents are going to be running out and buying this before christmas.

Well, I meant and typed one truck on the 21st for midnight opening, another on the 22nd afternoon with the second shipment.

Are there any lists yet on what games will be backwards compat.? I might trade my Xbox system in but only if I know most of my fav games will work fine on the 360....

I don't think there is an official list, but MS says the "most popular" titles aka what ever developer shoves the most money up gate's ass?

Nope, no offical list of any kind has been released. MS has not announced any games one way or the other.

Anyhow, compatibility or not, I'm keeping the old OMGTEHHUGEXOBx because it's our Karaoke machine. Until they come out with Karaoke Revolution for 360, that is. 😀

It's legit, just done long ago. Not too worried. All the major department stores are close to me and I'm buying 2-5 anyways for sale on Ebay. If they don't sell, return to the store. No risk for a possible reward of mucho cash.

I can certainly understand that. 🙂 I fortunately live in a city where it should be easy to find for at least a day or two. If sales are good, I would imagine I can grab a few more. I mainly just want to make enough so that my personal xbox and a game or two are free.
