A quick ebay search will show many results. Why am I interested in this? Well, I saw this and was curious about finding a cheaper option, hence ebay.

My question is, are these controllers with "rapid fire" mods acceptable to use on xbox live? I'm not sure of the mechanics, but unless they are modifying the microchip within the controller, then whatever benefit they have could theoretically go under the guise of extreme mechanical coordination and speed on the user's behalf.

I don't want to get banned from xbox live, I just want my friends to see how hardcore I am about Halo Reach.

It is cheating and nobody can shoot a single shot as fast as a rapid fire controller. You could get banned and you ARE a loser.

I'd like to know as well. I just want my friends to see how hardcore I am about A Kingdom for Keflings.

I own both the first and second gen Avenger, and trust me when I say that there's limited advantages to it. It's nicer having some of the buttons just a nudge away, but there's a reason those were moved out of your thumbs direct contact.

If you get a modded controller, you'll be reported. I do it every time I find someone with one, because it makes all of the semi-autos extremely overpowered in FPSs.

I bought the "IntensiFire" mod kit a couple years back
http://www.ebay.com/itm/IntensaFIRE...t=Video_Games_Accessories&hash=item257080ba4a <-- there is the newest version of it.

It has its advantages and disadvantages. Most shooter games have a cap on how fast you can shoot bullets. COD 4 it works great, Left 4 Dead is awesome running dual pistols with rapdfire,.. its better then any gun on the game. L4D2 it doesn't work as well, and games like Battlefield 3 and the COD titles its cool for a little while, but when you change up weapons a lot it gets difficult.
I see the newest version of the Intensifire you control it with the Dpad which is great. My version you do it with the sync button,. so if your on setting 1, and want to turn it off I have to scroll through 4 other settings and hope to god my controller doesnt' think Im trying to sync to the 360 (in the middle of game when people are shooting at me).

Over all its fun, neat to show off to your friends, but gets old quick. I hardly ever use mine anymore.
