while a few isolated reports of this happening on its own most had to do with the console being moved while it was running. Some say they have it vertical some say horzontal...Mine is horzontal and hasnt scratched a disc yet...for the first 2 weeks it was vertical...hasnt scratched a disc yet...common sense dont move your **** when its on...duh

Yeah. Also, people must be jerking the system or something, because I've moved it numerous times while it was running, and I haven't had mine scratch a single disc. I am gentle/careful when moving it, and so I think this might be another case of user error.
