That's right, as of now on CC's website they are saying they will have packages available on Friday at 2pm EST. No one knwos if this is true yet, but if it is, it is a hot deal for those who couldn't pre-order. Get an early jump on it!

Circuit City?s PR managers have responded to our request for clarification on the confusing language on the Circuit City website. Here?s the real deal:

Circuit City will begin selling a limited supply of Xbox 360 bundles on www.circuitcity.com beginning 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, 2005. These units will ship on 11/21/2005; customers who opt to pay extra for next-day delivery can do so to get their Xbox in their homes on 11/22/2005.

We are not selling them earlier in our stores; I apologize for the misinformation you received from the call center. We will have Xbox 360 units for sale in all Circuit City stores nationwide beginning 10 a.m. local time on 11/22/2005. They are first-come, first-served as we did not allow any preorders.

If you really want to get a 360 at launch this is a good deal, but you're paying an extra $30 for the Universal remote on the 360 Premium systems when you get a remote free in the box. Kind of a waste in my opinion, but you can probably return individual items from the bundle that you don't want. I know Best Buy allows for this with their bundles so hopefully Circuit City allows the same.
 
Is everyone selling there xbox360 at 10AM? i want to pick one up, but not to play one....I just want to be an a$$ and sell one on ebay.
 
haha i know what you mean by making money off ebay. My friend took the initiative and preordered 10 of them before it was sold out a few months ago. He is going to come out big this christmas.... 🙂
 
For guys like you, I hope that MS ships way more systems than anticipated so that there is almost no demand on ebay...

I must admit, thats wrong but he is selling one to me at cost so im happy. 🙂
 
Does anyone know if the pre-order is in-store only? My local EB said that they were only getting 23 Xbox's before Christmas, which I don't believe anyway. I'm #40...

EDIT: nm, it says "Web-Only"...
 
So what's the word. Does anyone know if you can take back the games and remote if you don't want them? Or would you have to return the whole package?

I played the COD 2 demo on the 360 toady at EB. Looks pretty good. THey said if I ordered one today, I wouldn't get it until March. They are that backed up. So this is pretty hot.

Call me an A$$ or whatever, but I am just trying to make money to pay rent during college.🙂

If you see an oppurtunity, you take it. Unlike that weak rant where some guy wanted to buy an open box buy at circuit city and had the price change on him 2 days later.

That said, ordering 10 is alot.
 
yeah agrall, people might be assholes, but if there are profits to be made, there are assholes everywhere. Thats life. 🙂


 
is there any price gouging on those systems? like say for instance the premium gold package:

$590
-$400 for premium system
-$50(?) for extra controller
-$40(?) for mem card
-$50(?) for PGR3
-$50(?) for NFS:MW
