Well sure, but even if you buy 1 more game this year you would have made your money back. I have ordered probably 10 games with ECA, 2 turtle beach headsets, a few controllers, and a system. So I have saved quite a bit by spending $20.

1. wrong. this deal isn't that good considering the new slim ps3 and price drop of the xbox360 elite. there will be much better deals than this one.

2. unless you are a fan boy, you are wrong. the PS3 and xbox elite, which are the comparable systems, will be the same price. Personally, I like the ps3 games better, but I'm not going to go and say the xbox has very little games and even few worth playing. and than blowing off blu-ray, rofl. systems cost the same. one has a blu-ray player. you buy and xbox and want a blu-ray player you are dropping much more money. and can't be modded/hacked? wahhhhhh

don't know about that, this seems to be the only way to get a jasper right now.
as far as i know elites only came with jasper in the resident evil pack.

yeah, DRM. I"m sure it codes it to that install and your machine so the hard drive copy will not work with another console that has different mac address etc.

I mean the discs are all the same, so it wont be able to tie it to the disc in anyw ay.

4. I dislike the DRM and the need to repurchase outdated PC hardware to play low graphic quality games when I have invested in a quality gaming PC. But I argue because I am honest and I like supporting the truth. In which case the truth is that if you don't mind the DRM, the xbox arcade @ 179$ is a great deal...
Also... netflix is better than blu-ray.

$20 of is really not that great of a deal. you don't seem to realize the fact that when the new ps3 and the elite price drop come, you will find better deals.

and did you just say netflix is better than bluray? huh? seriously? do I even have to explain why not? thats seriously laughable.

hmm, which would I rather have...a video player that will run me at least $100, probably at least 150, maybe even 200+, so the ability to stream netflix through my console, which I can just do with my pc? hmmmmmmmmmmmmm tough call :roll:

This deal is, in fact good. Please show me where you can get a PS3 for $170-180. Yes, I am well aware the HD is missing, but can you get a PS3 with internal mem for this price? Not even close.

It was mentioned that the Jasper only came with the RE5 edition. I have looked at BB website and they are listing 2 different sku's for the Elite. The bottom one is a stand alone black Jasper for 399.99. To find out if its a Jasper, it does not have an HDMI cable.

I'm also pissed that I can't use an HDMI cable & the cable that came with it at the same time. Now I need a component cable again so I can use my turtle beach headset.

Exactly. The DVD has to be in the drive so I don't see the point. You can't take the hard drive and play on another 360 without a DVD. They did it because they could I guess. I knew something was wrong when I heard all that noise when loading up Madden. lol

I like having the internal MU for saves and profiles so if the hard drive fails you don't lose everything. Of course if it gets a RROD I'm screwed. lol

The PS looks cheaper but it is cooler than the 175 watt even without the fan. That's MS for you. You have to buy their HDMI kit which comes with the audio connector. It is on sale for $31 with FS at Amazon and Newegg right now. I was disappointed that it came with a composite cable and not components but I already had the HDMI kit.

you can snap the plastic off of their regular connector, then you can plug a normal HDMI cable AND their component cable at the same time, and use the audio out from the component along with the video from HDMI.
