I did a search and came up with sort of similar topics, but nothing that was really what I'm looking for.

I have an HP W2207, and I want to hook up my 360 to it. This would be easy if it had an HDMI port but it doesn't. I've had it a while and it's one of the older ones.

I did a search and came up with this. It's more than I want to spend, but if I need to, I can. One problem with it is that I don't think I can plug that into my 2.1 speaker system. So, I searched on ebay and came up with this which I think would work. The only problem is I don't have my speakers here, they are at school, so I can't see what kind of cable I need.

Do you think that adapter would work?

I also looked into doing it my own way and came up with these:
joiner
adapter
and then just use the previous adapter for the audio.

Would this work? Because it would be a lot cheaper, but I would have to wait them to be delivered.

Just get one of these off eBay and go from there. It has an optical out and I much prefer using the official accessory in this case than the non official one, especially with the cost difference.

being an ex PC gamer I always liked a CRT better than LCD. Of course LCDs a few years back had ghosting and were like 7ms. Regardless CRT's always looked a lot better in my eyes. What's the biggest mainstream CRT sold and does it look alot better than a CRT television

I guess I've just never had a good CRT monitor, because I've always been disapointed with them. If I wanted a high resolution, I needed to bring down the refresh rate to a point where I got headaches. I'm really happy with my HP lcd. It has absolutely no ghosting, and looks better than every CRT I've ever used.

The $40 cable comes with a converter, so the Red and White plugs go into a little converter, and at the other end is a 3.5mm audio cable that can be plugged into many speaker systems (my dell speakers have a plug right in front for that) or, what I do, directly into my monitor. My monitor's speakers are lame, but it gets the job done without me having to move the dell speaker system into my room.

Ya i just bought it today and i saw the converter. So that saves me some money. Except I had to buy it for $50.

what i did is plug my red/white cables into an adaptor and then into my line in on my pc. my pc and 360 is all hooked to my lcd tv, so now my pc and 360 games use the same tv and speakers.
