There are also a lot of good things about ReturnBuy. I bought from them a few times without problem.

looks kinda shady, they haven't tested certain features on certain xboxes. hopefully you can return if its broken.

You can put linux on them, so if the technology doesnt exist it will soon.

Very informative post. I thought I had heard lots of bad things about bonk102, but I could be mistaken. I have purchased well over 100 items from returnbuy and have been 100% satisfied with every transaction. Every item I have ever purchased from them has been shipped within 1 day of purchase. I have also been satisfied with the condition of every item I have ever received from them. The only time I have ever had a problem was with the purchase of 2 computers. The description stated they had geforce4 cards and they ended up having geforce3 cards. I sent them 1 email and they promptly refunded me $100 on each computer without me even asking.

That shipping kinda kills it, you're better off getting one at Buy.com with the $15 coupon and free shipping. That way you get a new one (with the S controller and two games) and not a used one.

You can put a mod chip in it, and run YAMP or XboxMediaPlayer (new and improved version of the MediaPlayer will be out soon). More info on XboxMediaPlayer Here Then you can playback DivX/Avi/Mp3/ and more.

Picture of my mod chip is

Exactly. It would be better to spend the extra $15 or so and get a new one with two games.

I think ebgames (refurbished from MS, free shipping) has better deal with the 20% MSN giftcard.

I had a router die (won't power up anymore) recently I bought through them. They refunded me for the router, and said "don't return it, do with it as you please". No hassles whatsoever... I'd buy from them again without hesitation.

One thing about Returnbuy, though, and this may not matter to most of you, but they won't ship to military servicemembers deployed overseas.

Bingo! $150 for a factory refurbished XBOX and $30 MSN cash to spend at a later date.

ReturnBuy is 100% great do not be mistaken.

They totally explain the items condition and what's included...the problem is people think they will get a better deal than described.

I hate that, I do resell in cisco products and the stuff is in great condition. It's always the people buying the products I advertise as 'a little beat up' that call me back and say the item arrived with the exact damages I was selling it as and even provided pictures.

They use ebay negative feedback as a negotiating tool or threaten posting to whatever list I sold it on claiming worse damages than I described.

I bought a Bazooka P250 amp from them...it's not high-end or even close, but it powered my Crystal CPE's perfectly and complemented well with my MTX P2150 amp (which is a pretty good amp).

All in all I paid about $50 and the amp performed better than just about anything else I could buy in that range or even double.

I assume so, since it doesn't make sense selling a console without a controller to get it start. Better call them first, but I'm more interested in the new console with 2 games with MSN$, just waiting for if they throw in some more free stuffs (missed the deal with free dvd kit by several hours, they use EST :().

You can pick up the Xbox @ Half.Com
(Now, I know that this links to half.com, which now runs through Ebay, not SURE if this is prohibited...if so, LET ME KNOW. I will remove it.)

But the systems are $140, and there is a $15 off coupon, bringing it down to $125. (Coupon is for NEW Customers.) And Free Shipping.

EDIT: Took out the Link to the Deal Site where it was located, cuz it had coupon codes on it. (And my Math Sux.)

i agree with alkemyst, I've bought lots of stuff from returnbuy and always been 100% satisfied. The sell new and open box stuff so their stuff varies. the most important thing is that you READ THE EVALUATIONS carefully. They state if something's missing, scratched or whatever. Sometimes they sell something cheap cause they couldn't test it. That can be a crap-shoot, but hey, they tell you that. I've picked up some real bargoons from them.
