MS just spilled the beans on their E3 channel. $499 in November.
They are also gonna have original Xbox games come to Xbox 1S/X systems as well.
I was hoping to be wowed with at least one super strong exclusive that we didn't hear of before but there was nothingIf the Xbox had strong AAA single player games like Sony's The Last of Us, Uncharted, or Horizon, I'd look forward to XOX: Hugs and Kisses Edition. As it is, pretty much all I saw was multiplatform or multiplayer.
What a piss poor showing by MS, not impressed at all
That conference was completely underwhelming. Also what a terrible name.
$500 for an upgraded console is way too much. Other than the early adopters and initial surge I think it's going to flop at that price. They also gave us literally 0 games that are "must haves" for Xbox One.
I'm glad they showed a lot of games instead of focusing on media bullshit, but damn, there is literally no games they showed that made me think about purchasing one this year. I think the last Xbox One game I bought is Forza Horizon 2. I don't see another game purchase in the near future at this point either.
Your console is in a sad state when the thing that gets the most applause is announcing backwards compatibility for a15 year old console.

Horizon Zero Dawn is the first one that comes to my mind.Like a Halo? Is there really a super strong anything this gen that isn't just a new update of an older IP?

I thought Xbox One was a stupid name. Xbox One X? Doesn't even sound like they were trying to come up with decent ideas for a name.
And whilst the new hardware is significantly better than the OG system, it doesn't mean much by itself. Much like the PS4 Pro, I don't see this system taking off until developers start releasing new games or new IP that can actually take advantage of the new hardware. And that's going to take a fair amount of time.

I didn't think M$ cared about their user base... Forza Horizon 3 is on PC now so that leaves Halo 5 (mediocre at best) and not much else. I don't see their plan with demoing more powerful hardware other than to simply do it just because.
PS4 has HZD, Last of Us Remastered + Uncharted, The Last Guardian, Bloodborne and the new God of War is due next year. There's also Until Dawn and Gravity Rush for the more obscure tasted.
Metro didn't say Xbox exclusive so it's safe to assume it'll be on the big three platforms which is a good thing. The more Metro the better.Metro Exodus looks impressive, but that's supposed to be on the Windows Store and Steam too. To me the most disappointing part was how little they showed of Cuphead. I was blown away by its reveal at E3 2015 but the final game must suck if all we got was a 15 second ad for it when it's an XB1/W10 exclusive launching in three months.![]()
EA on Saturday announcing a really cool looking co-op only game called A Way Out.by the time any decent X1X projects are completed something new will already be prepped for shipping... usually competition helps the consumer but this is sort of a stalemate.
i've always said that the games make the console; anything else is just filler to show off pretty graphics. PS4 had its turds too, notably Shadow Fall, Driveclub, The Order and Knack etc... the bad news is that these types of things will probably not go away when each new console is released.
My BIGGEST problem with console gaming today is lack of couch co-op titles. Even Halo 5 killed that off which upset plenty of people. I'd like to see that trend reversed.
Did you guys not see Minecraft 4K? I mean, come on, 4K! 4K the blockyness of the original!
Only 2 or 3 titles actually looked OK, didn't really care about the "kids" games though, and I really doubt any parent is gonna throw $500 based on those games.
About the only other thing it has going for it will be the 4K bluray support, so, I can see people buying the xbx1x for that alone, and games are just a extra bonus.
But if there was a Titan S and a Titan X, how do we know which is better? That just means someone will choose the significantly cheaper one.yea but but Titan "X" is better than a regular Titan isn't it??
