Is there a way to get rid of this? It's freaking annoying. It seems to do it whenever I did not use it for a while. I'll just get non stop messages that are delayed by maybe 10-30 secs between each one. I have to sit there and hit yes over and over till it eventually stops.

I think I may have fixed it. Ended up finding that you have to delete an addons.db file and it made the messages go away. I watched about 5 minutes of a show and it never came up so think I should be good.

The UPS for the RPI died so probably what caused it this time.

What is the addon that is marked as broken that it's talking about?

And post this over at kodi.tv
They'll be able to actually give you more insightful answers since it's their own program...

It's different each time but the same ones repeat too.

What does it connect to to determine that, what if I block that IP at the firewall will it make it stop? Suppose I could packet sniff at the port it's connected to on my switch and see what's going on.

Uninstall all the ones that repeat or disable them. If it is a bunch maybe you have a bunk repo setup.

Or simply disable the ones that are coming up....

Head to the add-ons section of xbmc go to enabled add-ons and hit disable on each one that has a message coming up.

Your attempting to bring an excel macro editor to a situation where you could simply count on your fingers :-D

These are all system add ons, wont let me uninstall. I did find an option to disable auto update and notifications though so I checked that off (thank goodness it's global and not for each one) and I'll see if that does anything.

Nope that option did not work either. It takes a while but the messages start to spam after a while again. I could provide a list of all the addons but it would just be long as I'd have to sit down and write each one down. The messages are staggered.

Is there something command line I can do? Is there a service that runs that checks or something and maybe it's just the thing of disabling that service?

You have a broken installation then. I suggest reinstalling or heading over to kodi.tv where they have the knowledge because it's their own program and asking them for help.

More specifically, posting your log and asking for help. If you just post your log we would know exactly what was going on and your best bet to doing that is going to their site and asking for help where they have more users who use it since it's their own program.

You can find out how to post a log in the Kodi.TV wiki section.

Kodi.TV is their new website as their name is changing to kodi.
