X850XT + nForce4 = Incompatible?

I bought a used X850XT off of eBay recently and it's been having problems with my computer. Performance is exactly as expected but my computer will restart or crash after a few minutes for no reason. Other times, it will be triggered when I try to play a certain game or even click on a button in Windows. I have been using an X600XT in the computer for months with absolutely no problems. Also, I have tested out the X850XT in the rig in my signature and I have absolutely no problems, either. I know the temps are fine (~45 idle, ~70-80 under load).

When I try to install a fresh copy of Windows, I get all sort of weird errors. I have used both a 6-pin PCI-E connector and a 4-pin power connector to PCI-E adapter to make sure that it is not a power issue. Is it because the X850XT has problems with the nForce4 chipset?

Any help would be appreciated.

System:

Gigabyte GA-8N-SLI motherboard (nForce4 SLI)
Pentium D 915
1x 1GB OCZ Gold DDR2-800 RAM
ATI X850XT
Ultra V-Series 500W PSU
Maxtor DiamondMax 160GB SATA-I HD

My X850XT and nForce4 mobo work together just fine. Did you use driver cleaner and follow the instructions exactly? If not, then I would try that before assuming its a hardware issue.

It's possible you got a bad card. Buying a used card on ebay can be hit and miss as you have no idea how the previous owner treated it.

Right I would never trust Ebay for any used stuff. They don't care about you but they need your money.
