x800xt has arrived!!

My x800xt just arrived via ups a few minutes ago. I'm in the process of installing the waterblock, except I can't find >90% alcohol or nail polish remover to take the compound off. Any other ways to do it? Once it is installed I will install everything and run some benchmarks.
 
I built my pc from scratch but the previous card I was using was an fx5200. What a piece, it was a dell. My specs are:
skt. 939 fx-53
a8v mobo
x800xt
1 GB ocz 3700EB
160Gb Sata Seagate
Audigy 2 zs plat. pro
and watercooling for cpu and gpu.

NICE RIG man. I bought my 91% alchohol from walmart. Anyways lower than that should technically work too. Just not aswell.

Thanks, I've been waiting 10 years to build something like this, so im very happy. I know there is nail polish remover around here somewhere.
 
Go to your local drugstore and ask the pharmacist for >90% alcohol. I believe most pharmacies keep it behind the counter.

Right or wrong, I always use ether (starting fluid for diesel engines), 99cents for a lifetime supply.
 
where did you order your X800XT? it arrived pretty fast from my point of view. Considering all the back orders

Wow he buys a $500 graphics card and the minute it arrives he voids his warranty. That takes some serious balls. Let us know how high you can overclock the core. 🙂

Well I was in the middle of finalizing things, then I went to visit my gram in the hospital. Say a prayer for her if it isnt to much trouble. We don't really know if she will be okay or not. She is tettering. But I'm back now and im installing windows,etc. Ill have benchmarks tomorrow hopefully. And I paid $533 for it with 2 day air.

Ok well I've been busy all day updating this and that. Hopefully I will be able to post benchmarks later tonight or tomorrow, thanks for the wishes though. It will help.
