Slickdeals.net has it posted in their forum that there's a %10 discount for AAA members. I'm on the phone right now and I'll post the results...

Done... Total price to the door is $391.45. This is by far the most I've spent on a video card but I've never owned a top flight card at release either. At over $100 off retail I had to bite.

I doubt it considering he ordered one. I think he forgot to include "not" in that statement. As in, "i'm hoping this is not a bait and switch pro..."

I asked the Gateway CSR I talked to and he confirmed it's a retail X800XT PE. :)

That's correct; ATI's website and the Gateway rep I spoke to when I ordered mine verified. XT800XT Platinum Edition for $435. Get 'em while they're hot.

That said, if we could wait it out for Newegg they'll probably have the retail for a similar price, free shipping, and *NO TAX* for most buyers in the US. I had to pay out 6% sales tax for Michigan on top of my $435. Oh well; still cheaper than $499!

I ordered one. I checked Newegg to see just before I ordered. Last I had checked, newegg wanted $475! for a Pro. Still do. So, saved $40 and got an XT ;)

I tried to buy it but it never went to step 3 and so far I haven't gotten any confirmation by email.

total was $442 to the door in NY.

I could not get to step 3 on the website. Opened a Chat with the sales support and ordered it that way (hey, the guy gets credit for the sale too I bet, which is good for humans :) )

Ok got my confirmation email. Ordered on the 3rd, ETA the 9th with overnight shipping. post your ship dates please! want to confirm arrival times. This is an insane deal, i wouldnt expect it to last long. if youre considering ordering, do it now. Best Buy for example no longer has ANY X800 on their site, Pro or XT flavours.

Was at best buy yesterday and they were still selling the 9800XT on the shelves for $499!!

Re-did the online sale and got mine for $442!! YEAH BABY!

Note to self: Must not let wife see credit card bill!!!

It's off the website. I just called the number that Robor gave and the guy told me that they yanked the ad because they're sold out. Oh well....

Yep, these are gone. Just talked to Gateway as well. The Live Chat rep said these were sold out forever... not sure exactly what that means.

Probably that they won't have them back at this price. Generally, when you put a super-high-end product out and they're all gone within 24 hours, you're not charging enough. :p

Yep, I received the same exact dates, except I went with ground shipping.

I received my 1st confirmation email (ordered today 6-3-04 at about 10 AM EST). It claims that my estimated arrival date is 6-11-04; I opted for the free shipping.

That said, if I log into Gateway and check my order status, it claims that it will *SHIP* on 6-11-04. Not sure which date to believe, but I can only hope that my order isn't cancelled due to over selling their supply or something!

I'd be happy even if this is an XT non Platinum edition. And I also got the same email robor did.

$390 for this card is absolutely incredible. $190 after selling my 9800 Pro.:D

So many people have been waiting for the GT and rambling on about how it kills the X800 Pro....well if this works out the GT just got utterly owned.
