Heres my situation:

I'm a casual gamer, but I have an SLI MB and i want to go SLI. Would getting 2 7600GT be a worthy upgrade for $400 or would it just be better to get one 7900GT?

decisions decisions? opinions please?

thanks

My vote goes for the 7600GT SLI. Best bang for buck SLI out right now IMO.(will get better over the next 2 months also as price should settle down some)

One XFX Extreme 7900GT for $329 @ Monarch (clocked 550/1630) should be way cheaper than dual 7600GT's and similar in performance, and SLI doesnt ALWAYS perform very well.

I just bought that one, heres a review of it. It goes head to head with the 512meg 7800gtx :)

The 7600gt's will cost about 160 dollars in a month, so 2 will cost more than or the same one 7900gt, so that won't really be better. The ati x1800gto might be unlockable, in which case 2 in crossfire will be by far the best bang for the buck I'll bet.

I'm really excited. Just bought my XFX Extreme, couldnt justify the extra $20 for the XXX (its only 550/1630 vs 560/1650)

Ya the extra 20 bucks for 10mhz here and 20mhz here wasnt worth it, but the jump from 520/1500 to 550/1630 was :)
