1600xt.

the x800se only has 8 pipes.

a standard x800 with 12 pipes, is in the same range as a x1600xt though

the x800se, was basically some dell only model (well some other companies sold it retail too). it was a out like a few months after the x800 original came out. from what i remember its clocked at the same speeds as the x800 (i think its

the x800gt also has 8 pipes, but i think the main thing was it came out a lot later when they were clearing inventory.

x800gt cards could have r423, r430, or r480 cores (same as x800gto but with only 8 instead of 12 pipes). the x800se was only the original core, i think the r430 one (the x800GT cores, included the x800xl r480 and x800xt r423 cores).

that said they are more or less the same thing just x800se's are older.

original x800 was 400 core / 700 ram, the x800se was i belive the same. the x800gt on the other hand was 475/980 i believe (same as x850 series cards)

yeah real confusing.

The x1600xt is pretty pathetic with 4 texturing units and only 128-bit memory interface. It does have 12 shaders so its quite fast in new games.

I'm surprised ATI hasn't come out with a x1700 series with 8pipes and 256-bit interface.
