X800PRO Opinions?

Why would an nvidia card, particularly an upper-end card, not do well for watching DVDs? I myself have a GF4TI4800.

Didn't say an nVidia card wouldn't be suitable or not do the job, just that DVD playback is better with the ATI. I used to have a ti4600 myself. As much as it kicked butt over my R8500 when it came to gaming, the R8500 was noticably better when watching movies. It's especially noticable since I have a 21" screen.

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I BOUGHT THIS CARD TODAY!! I got the ATI version of the X800PRO 256Meg! I flipped the card over and it has the RAGE THEATRE CHIP!!!! ROAR!!!!!!!!!!

AND I GOT A SWEET ARSE DEAL IT IS REG $599, I GOT IT FOR $539!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

where are you in canada, cause im in montreal and i know a MUCH better pc parts place and they are way cheaper than 699 for a gt.

I say, do not flash it to XT until you actually need an XT, if it's fast enough for you now don't, because it is risky and you might lose your card.
