x800GT to V5000 FireGL mod?

I've been wondering about the x800GT recently and pondered on something. The X800GT from Power Color has the 256Bit memory interface, but still only 8 pipes. But, the Dual DVI is the main feature of interest.

I then notice that, V5000 also has 8 pix pipes, but only a 128bit memory interface. Also has the Dual DVI. Googled and stumbled onto Rage3d forums not particularly discussing it.

Does anyone know if it is possible to flash the X800GT to a V5000 FireGL or not? I think it's pretty cheap for what it's capable of doing. If my theroy is right.

The fact that the cards have a different memory bus already tells me that a flash is not gonna do it. I have a x800, which is almost identical to a x800xl except with 12 pipes, and even then a bios flash wont turn it into an x800xl because the pipes are locked on die, and can't be unlocked at all. The only card I know which can usually be successfully flashed to a much more powerful card is a x800pro vivo, but that's it.
