hey. well i had an a7n8x delux ultra 400 motherboard as well as a x800 video card. and i had the hole system together. memory, video card, chip,... ready to boot for the first time.. but when i went to turn it on the comptuer never did its post test or beeb or beebs. and never displayed anything on the computer screen. now whats up with that? but i sent it all back because i called asus suport and they told me the motherboard was dead. getting new ones now.. but when i put the video card into my dads working pc it loaded fine though it was default resolution was set for 1200x1600 but it did work and was ready to install the drivers. though the reason i returned the video card was the fan on the heat sink was brocken. never spun. so i gues next time ill start the computer up with another video card and then install everything, then after the comptuer is up and runnin ill just swap out the old video card with the new x800 pro and hope it works. but if any one nose why it dose that id like to know..

You expected a vid card to work properly without drivers?

when i installed it in another computer just to make sure the card was working. thats why i didnt install the drivers. i wasent intending to keep it going in the system i tested it in. also the fan on the heat sink part of the card was brocken so thats why im returning it.
