x800 slow performance?

In 3Dmark03

first test i ran when i got my card i got 11818. I compared some of my scores to others and most of them got 12000 to mid 12500s.

In 3Dmark05

first test i did on this i got 5492. All of the others in my system specs, alot of people had 5700 +.

My specs are:
Intel Pentium 4 3.2E
Corsair XMS 512mb DDR-400 CAS 3
BBA x800XT PE
Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS

Different drivers? The latest ones (5.3) may be a tad faster than older ones, and some folks use modded driver sets to tweak benchmarking performance. Also, most people bench at the "Maximum Speed" settings in the driver control panels, which disables AA/AF and lowers texture detail (and probably does a few other subtle things to boost performance).

well they are running the same cpu (i filtered it). as for drivers, im using the 5.3s but im not sure if they are tweaking it. Do you all think my results are good enough?

Good enough? Yes. The difference in 3DM05 is less than 5%, and the difference in 3DM03 isn't worth mentioning. You'll be hard-pressed to notice a 5% difference, if in fact that translates into real games. I wouldn't worry about it.

Um, I don't think anything is wrong, if you overclock your CPU you'll see a nice increase, mine at 2.35ghz which comes out to like a 3400+ isn't even keeping up to yours.

i get just 5811 with my setup (my cpu is about equal to a 4ghz p4 in games, and my ram latency is quite low); dont worry about it, seems about right

They may be overclocking the gpu and memory on their graphics card also. I noticed that a lot with people that were higher than me. You're close enough, nothing to worry about unless you want bragging rights.

ram is just so much.. as much as what i spent on my card (300). i was looking at the Twinx corsair pc-4400 ram at 2.5 CAS but it was 270..

you dont need low latency ram, just get another 512mb of the same type, and run dual channel. Trust me, it is worth it! (once you have a gig, ull realise that 512 is not enough!!) But yeh dont bother with getting expensive ram, very little difference.

im debating wheter to spend 200 on that patriot ram that has CAS 2 or spend 100 to get another one of the same stick of ram that i have CAS 3
