X800 Pro VIVO or 6800GT

I'm going to upgrade to Nforce4 when it arrives and therefore I need a new video card. I've always been a fan of ATI and I thought about buying a X800 Pro VIVO and softmod it to a X800 XT PE. After talking to a lot of different people most of them advice me to buy a 6800GT.
Anyone here have a good advice on which video card I should buy?
 
Depends if you are considering SLI or not. GT for PCIe seem to be reaaaally expensive, and by the time NForce4 is out in bulk hopefully the x800xl will be, so you might want to check that out as well.
 
as stelleg151 said, i would definitally wait for the x800 XL. it is about $200 cheaper than the 6800GT and outperforms it.
 
I was thinking about X800XL, but acording to a webshop it doesn't come out until February. My plan is to buy a new computer in January when the Nforce4 comes out. I'v been waiting for the Nforce4 a while and i'm not particulary interested in waiting any longer
