Verdict

I buy Sapphire X800 PRO card and i but it on my computer and install drivers, i get a nice welcome on windows :S ARTIFACTS
then i test 3dmarks and no artifacts 😱, then i test 4.5 and 4.6 drivers and same artifacts on 2D use...
today i but windows 2000 on my computer and i dont see any artifacts, i think something is wrong in XP
then i go back on windows XP and i DISABLE THIS SETTING
it means Font Smoothing, and artifacts lost 😱

i want to know now is that driver bug or is my card broken, i send information about that ATI and i hope they can help me on that, but i want know has anyone else same problems on windows 😀

sorry my english but i think you can understand what im told you 😀

One, I don't see any artifacts. If it's a hard error, it won't show in a screenshot.

Two, maybe this problem only occurs when you load your system up with GaMeZ, wArEz, and Pr0n like you do.

Is the card overclocked? What temperature is the card reaching? Too much heat can cause texture corruption, flashing, and artifacts.

temperature is about 10c now 😀
i have nice cooling on it, but those artifacts not coming from overclocking or heat, those are bug...
i can drive 3dmark on 550/600 without artifacts 😀

Looks like you're only having artifacts in Internet Explorer, and some on the taskbar. But since you were able to capture those artifacts on a screenshots that means it's a software problem, especially that your PC ran fine on Windows 2000, did you download SP1 (Service Pack 1)? and the latest Windows updates?
As I said, I think it's software problem so you can also try to reinstall WinXP if you can.
What video card did you have before? If you had Nvidia, uninstall your Catalyst, run DriverCleaner (download from www.driverheaven.com/cleaner) then reinstall Catalyst 4.6.
And maybe you just got a bad card!
You shouldn't have overclocked it, because now you can't replace it or fix it since you have voided your warranty.
And if you want an instant solution, you can keep that "smooth font" option turned off and forget about all that mess, it's not even an important feature. Good luck 😉
p.s: Don't worry about your english, it's understandable.
Just curious, what's your native language (the one in the screenshots)?

One, I don't see any artifacts. If it's a hard error, it won't show in a screenshot.
Look at the text in IE and the Start button, maybe you didn't notice the artifacts because you thought they were normal "other language" text.😉
