X800 pro overlocking ability

I know this is probably a question that has been asked before but, I was just wondering how an x800pro compares to an XT when it is heavily overclocked say at 570mhz on the core. Are there performance levels near the same? If not, is the gap very big?

Just curious, all the x800pro owners out there, speak up!

It wouldn't compare because there are 4 rendering pipelines disabled in the X800 Pro. Your best bet is to bios flash it to the XT.

I know the obvious difference, but I'm basically asking whether or not the extra clockspeed could make up for the 4 pipelines.

That'll work only if it's a Pro VIVO, which is a rebadged XT that couldn't cut the mustard.

I don't know. I have never overclocked my card. But I think that overclocking the memory makes more of a difference. The best overclocking tool is ATI Tool.

On the contrary, overclocking the core will give u a MUCH larger performance increase then the memory. The memory hardly impacts your score at all even with it being doubled because of DDR.
