Hello, so as the topic says, my ATI Radeon X800 PRO has just been bought as of last week, and after a couple days of having it in my system, I noticed that the card has gotten extremely hot! Hotter than my old 9800 pro. It's so hot to the touch! And i don't know why.
I had a generic 350w psu in the Enermax CS800 case, and so i went out and bought myself an Antec True 430w PSU. I also thought it was the CPU that was over heating so i went out and bought a Zalman HSF, and put some Artic silver 5 on the dye of the CPU.
If anyone could recommend something to me to help me cool down my x800 pro. I'm afraid it's going to melt or something. I lowered the voltage to the AGP to 1.5V. It was at 1.7V before and I noticed on the Asus mobo monitor that was above the redline. This hasn't done anything to solve the heating issue.
Here are the rest of my specs:
Asus A7N8X Deluxe
PC 3200 DDR400 OCZ 512 ram (2 sticks)
WD 160 GB HDD
the rest are mentioned above. Thanks in advance to those who can suggest some sort of computer fix or some sort of cooling device recommendation!
