I just upgraded from a ATI 9800 Pro to a ATI X800 Pro. I tested it using 3DMark03 and the score seemed incredibly low (around 3500). I cant remember but i think i got just as high with the 9800 Pro. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Want the damn thing to move like i know it can. Thanks

Turn off AA/AF, install the drivers using driver cleaner and then reinstall the 4.11 or 4.12 beta drivers from ATI's website.

Your score is way low; if you've got a recent system with 512MB of RAM or up you should be breaking 10K in 3dmark03. I suspect AA/AF is on for the benchmark, but it could be other symptoms (see below):

Make sure your chipset drivers for your motherboard are installed and up to date; make sure AGP aperture is set to 128MB or 256MB in the BIOS; make sure 4X or 8X AGP is on in the BIOS (turn on the highest your board supports).

Also list your system specs so we can better figure out what is wrong with your PC.

Btw Todd, we have very similar systems! I've got a P4 2.8 @ 3.3 Ghz on an IC7 with an X800 Pro at 525/525. 1GB DDR as well... :)

I just ran it and got 10546. Maybe you are running 3dMark05?

Are you sure you are running 3dMark03? Double check the AA/AF option in the drivers, make sure they say "application".

4.11 are the latest, and 4.12 betas are available, but I would wait for the final.

You are getting about a 1/3 of what you should. If it's not the vsync/AA/AF in the control panel, then something is wrong.

Vsync was on, AF/AA were both set to the highest, the MOBO's Bios was out-of-date...Just forgot to turn off all that shit. Wonder what i can get with it OC'd. Does the overdrive do anything, or is it there for show.

overdrive overclocks the core only. Forget overdrive - download a utility called ATI Tool and overclock away. It has a great built-in feature to test your highest overclock for both core and memory.
