Q: Releasing drivers for cards that are no longer produced is probably costly. How do you plan on compensating for this?

A: I cannot discuss this :( But I'm sure if we are going to do this, then it will have to be properly funded.


So who is actually funding them?

I saw thatand read "People will pay to download" into it, but who knows?

Ya...of course. I personally don't pirate software. I just buy it at my old college with my five year old college ID. Really noble of me, huh?

But anyway...I agree, charging for drivers won't work.

Could you imagine having people pay for a driver that has a mjor bug in a game that they somehow missed(nobody is perfect)

When you think about it those drivers will become just like commercial programs. I guess they would have to release bug fixes for free but charge for new features.
