X370 Taichi with the latest BIOS (P2.40)

I just updated to the new BIOS this morning, and so far I'm impressed. CPU overclock seems to be about the same, but for memory, I went from running 2750MHz (1374mhz) with 14-16-16-32 timings, to 3300Mhz (1647.7mhz) with the same timings. This is with 1.18v SOC, and 1.40v memory.

I'm pretty sure I can get it higher with some tweaking as well.

This is with Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200mhz 16-18-18-36 kit. This is a dual rank kit, and was one of the worst kits you could get for Ryzen.

I'd love to see what some people with nicer memory kits are getting with this latest update.

I'm on 2.40 and can't get my memory to go past 2133. I'm not sure what is going on.

I have a Corsair Vengeance LED kit http://www.corsair.com/en-us/vengea...z-c16-memory-kit-white-led-cmu32gx4m2c3200c16

I'll set the XMP profile and it fails to boot till its reset. I've tried profiles all the way down to 2400 and it doesn't want to do anything but 2133.

I had the same problem with G.Skill Trident Z RGB 3200 kit. It wouldn't go past 2133...

I'll get to post code F9 I think it is then it will restart. Do this 3 times and timings reset to 2133.

I have the same memory and have been stuck at 2933 on my ASRock X370 Killer Sli even after 2.40.

ASRock instructed me to use all Auto settings for OC, load XMP profile for the memory and use CPU LLC level 3 and VDDCR_SOC LLC level 4. (OC mode voltages)

it's been working on my board for the most part, just clear CMOS and change nothing but the XMP and LLC values--that's at least what worked for me and I haven't flashed the latest BIOS yet; i believe I was on ver 2.20 when I finally got my memory running proper.

AsRock X370 Fatality Pro and with the 2.4 bios I am able to oc my G.Skill Flare-X RAM to 3333mhz at 14-14-14-34. Both LLC values set to Level 1

When I try this I get stuck on post code 55 meaning it can't detect my memory or cpu.

If I just set XMP it reboots at F9 3 times and then lets me back into the bios. It doesn't post till after that third restart. I'm wondering if I have a dud motherboard 🙁

did you also set the load line calibration? XMP should set the voltage automatically but you might want to bump it up a notch.

i also disabled cool n quiet; C6 state but enabled SVM on the CPU. probably unrelated but did improve OC stability.

I did a manual reflash of the bios and can now hit 2933 stable. I did the load line as well just in case. I guess the one that was done by net was not fully successful.
