X2 cooler

I have been looking around the internet, and I have not been able to find a picture of the X2 cooler. I know it has heatpipes, but I was wondering what it looked like (dimensions, design, etc).

If anyone knows of a place with some pictures of it that would be great! Or if those of you with X2's could show some pictures that would be good too.

Thanks!

It's worse, IIRC. Couldn't bring up any data to prove it, though. 🙁

I have an X2 3800+ and altough it's the same as the 3200+ heatsink it still cools my X2 pretty well. I get 32-35C at idle and 48-52C at full load on both cores. I'm using an Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe.

at lower CPU speeds differences will be quite small; when turning up the heat (overclocking with high cpu voltage) the 2 extra heatpipes will come into play and you'll see a larger advantage for the new HSF.

but nothing drastic enough I think to make you want to swap the 2-pipe version for the new one.

note: I haven't tested the 2-heat pipe version, but logical thinking would place performance between the older none heatpipe and new 4 heatpipe version;

I thought the X2 3800+ came with a standard HSF and only the Optys came with a heatpipe one. My 170 came with a 4-heatpipe HSF, but I haven't got a X2 3800+ so can't say for sure.

I bought 3x heatpipe coolers (came from 4800+ X2s) for ~$45 shipped.
Cooling a : Venice @ 2.6GHz, CH 3700+ @ 2.65GHz, Sempy 3400+ @ 2.6GHz.

Great HSF for the price!
