Isn't the G1 the same stepping with the 5000+ BE? If it is, it can top out around 3,3 ghz I guess, with a good mobo and ram.

The 5000+ BE is a G2 stepping.

TC91 is correct. You can probably expect to reach 2.6 GHz without even increasing the voltage, but if you're lucky you could take it beyond 3 GHz with some tweaking. With an G1 stepping Athlon X2 4000+, I found the best performance with absolute stability on +.025 voltage increase at about 2.7 GHz.

I have an Athlon X2 4800+ (2x2.4GHz, 90nm) that i overclocked to 2.7GHz at 1.5volts. With a 65nm X2 you should be able to do better.:)

I cant get mine to go past 2.79 stable at 1.4 v

(Mines a X2 4000+ AM2)
