X2 3800 Ships To Retailers on July 25th?

I read on another forum that the X2 3800 retailer shipping date is July 25th? Anyone know if this is true???
I was going to buy a 3500 Venice core for my new system, but I'll wait for dual core if its coming out that soon 🙂.
 
That is the first I've heard about a release date. Can't verify or deny that claim.... So why the hell am I even posting? 🙂
 
my aunt's warehouse was inform by mid August they will receive theirs. probably 25th july is OEM channel?

The sooner, the better. It'll cause the 4400+ to come down in price, because everybody will want the 3800+ and 4000+ X2s. I <3 supply and demand.
 
The only X2's even listed in the distribution channels are the standard 4200, 4400, 4600 and 4800. It's possible the 3800's are comming out in the next few days, but if it's true, I certainly haven't heard about it.
 
From what I've read the 4000 will be released seperately. I'm searching for more info as I'm anxious to get my hands on one. I've got all the parts for my new system except the cpu 🙁
 
Does anyone know if these are from the same fab facllity? Last I heard AMD was making all the X2 at one place and that has kept supply low. I hope the 3800+ and 400+ come out of new site otherwise they will never meet the demand and the price wont get near where it should.
 
Funny thing:

I actually did find these listed with one of the distributors. They didn't have any in stock, but had 5500 on order, due to be delivered today (supposedly, but for those of you who were/are watching the X2 instock/preorder thread, you know how accurate that is!)

I was going to place an order for some, but decided to wait a bit and discuss with the other owner. Now there are still 5500 on order, but -5500 available. They have all already been sold! That was pretty funny to watch that happen in the span of ~20 minutes...
 
I wouldn't mid getting one of these as well...I want to get a cheap NF4 and a 6200 pci-e for my son and one of these would be nice...I could run 2 more instances of FH on his machine and he can game all he wants with real productivity...
