Sounds like an OS bug, and since I don't know anything about Windows XP 64 Pro, I can't help ya...

Does anyone have the Dual-Core optimizer running okay on their box? What OS?

Try and run a repair installation of WinXP and it should keep all your apps/settings, just update your HAL for dualcore.

Could be that you need to adjust your memory settings in your mb bios, as it looks to be like something doesn't like the X2 memory controller(?).

Wow....your memory can hit 270 mhz?? Doesn't look like you can run your memory 1:1. You may need to use the mem-divider to bring those speeds down. I think your memory is the issue here. Re-read the "Quick and Dirty Guide" stickied in this forum. Pay close attention to the section "CONSOLIDATE" where it talks about memory dividers. Determine the max mhz your memory can attain and then use the appropriate mem divider. My ABit uses mem dividers a little differently so I cannot help you.

You may want to try this mem divider calculator: http://math.gogar.com/athlon64.cgi

i dont think i can run it lower than 1:1, the only other options that i have are 4:3, 5:3, and 2:1, if i use 4:3 the ram would be running at "ddr 360" or 180 each right? and if i used 5:3 the ram would be at ddr 450 or 225mhz each...
