I have 3 problems with my GeCube x1950pro 256mb/bit PCIe.

1. It doesnt scale right with non-native resolutions (4:3 ratios like 1024x768 etc) on my LG 226wtq 22". I already selected "CENTERED aspect ratio" on the control center but to no avail.

2. This is my biggest problem. Performance is not what i expected. I am playing CS:S @ 1680x1050 0xAA 0xAF all high with only 30-60fps. That is not right for a x1950pro. What should i do? Reinstall drivers?

3. COLOR accuracy is CRAPPY after installing the hardware and driver. All my pictures were pale. I tried using the overlays to adjust, but still crappy. Do you guys know any color calibration tool (just like that of nvidia's control panel color test and calibration) for this one?

My system specs is:

C2D E6420 @stock
Gigabye P35-DS3R
2x1gb Kingston DDR2 800
GeCube x1950pro catalyst 7.6 (latest)
250gb WD Caviar
160gb Seagate baracuda
Vista 64 Ultimate

You should not have to touch ANY settings on the LG. Reset to defaults if possible. Reinstall the ATI driver. If you mess with things too much, it can make things worse and it's time to start over.

but i didnt do anything. I always made it a point to return all to default settings (for ATI Control Center and ATI Tray Tools). But my screen just looks pale... not as good as with XP pro before. ARE there any calibration tools like that of nvidia's control panel?

Monitor can overrid what gfx says, so make sure that you put option for aspect ratio if you have it on the display.

@guys
i need desperate help. I think i must've done something bad when i played with my ATI TOOL TRAY...

I tried fixing the gamma (all 3 colors) with this http://links.twibright.com/calibration.html

I was able to hit the right brightness for all 3, but the result was horrible. My pictures were all too bright. Vibrancy was terrible. I tried adjusting the contrast but it became too vibrant and ugly. Should i remove all my drivers and reinstall them? I am frustrated. Will uninstalling vista help?

btw, i just used the ATI TRAY TOOL to adjust the gamma for all 3 colors.

Any ideas guys?

Hmmm.. Can you uninstall all your drivers, run driver cleaner, and reinstall them? Leave ATI tool out of the picture for now.

tried unstalling all softwares and drivers (ati tray tools and catalyst 7.6 and catalyst control center, LG226wtq driver and color profile) and i started fresh with adobe gamma. Calibrated and got satisfying results. Unfortunately, results were only good for desktop. My applications were so poor... counterstrike source was pale and very unvibrant. My other games were so colorless, just like a light smoke is covering the entire screen. I can really seem to get to the root of the problem... whats wrong? Is vista64 the problem?
