Using that as a basis for a biased information provision is silly. Any other arguments you want to throw out there? I suppose you're going to lump me in and say I'm AEG contracted, too?

No I won't say you're an AEG agent because I don't speculate on such things. I just go by what I know: You presumably work for Sony (name and position fit), moderate nVidia's nVZone forums, post with a strong nV slant and your employer receives hardware from both companies.

And yet you speculate on OTHER such things? Man, that's just funny. The only thing you're 100% right with is the fact that I moderate the nZone forums.

BTW, I bet you money you can find several posts where I've given ATi it's due.

Now, really, let it go. I'm sure there's another thread you can post in without muddling up mine.

Is there anything wrong to admit that you are NV biased?

I've already stated that I have a slight green slant. That has no bearing on THIS thread. I fully intend to provide what I see in results, period. The creation of this thread and it's purpose was very clear in the original post. It's people like Joker who find it necessary to push the tangent to extremes.

Oh yeah, can you please subjectively tell us if you think the ATI card is "twice as loud"?

Also, if it's not "twice as loud", could you tell us if it's "considerably louder"? 🙂

Thanks dude. You're in QA, you should be very good at this stuff.

1. I'm aware of the thread, so I knew what the request was about.
2. You people think you've nailed me to a wall about my employer and what I do. I've admitted nothing. Drop it.

I don't think Ryan Antonelli would be happy about you pretending to be him.

On top of that, myself and other members are wondering what a Harvard grad is doing playing videogames for his living.

Harvard is a school full of preppy schoolboys.

You post like someone out of a back alley in the Bronx.

Not only that but your grammar is terrible. I'm tempted to search the alumni.

You've now resorted to insults. How impressive of you (you talk about grammar when you couldn't understand a paragraph if it smacked you in the rear). It's also apparent you've never actually BEEN to Harvard, and that you're more likely some teenager who has this misguided perception of preconceived notions.

Before you insult someone's intelligence, check your own, and make sure what you're accusing the person of doesn't backfire on you. 😉

You say slight, Joker says strong, so let's cut it in the middle - "medium"? 🙂

I have no qualms regarding my own intelligence.

I worked directly with the man who just bid to buy the Hudson's Bay Company today.

I guess I shouldnt' tell you that I'm 27 years old and I design a few square kilometers of North America every day at work.

Wow, and to think at night you take time out of your busy life to come here and insult people, and pretend you are a mod!

Is there anything you can't do?

You probably don't have a sound meter but could you record and post some sound clips taken at similar distances and at the same recording levels from each [closed or open] case.

then i can stop the endless discussion with Keys 😉

please

LOL.

I'll put that a little lower on the list, but I'll see what I can do. 😛

I do have access to a professional sound room, however. Perhaps that would be the best place for it to be done.
no rush . . . i don't have to respond to noise questions until then. 🙂

a sound room is the only place to have it "done right" 😉
😀

and thank-you

"a slight green slant"?
:Q

even your avatar is green 😉

HBC agreed on 26/01. Why you say Mr. Zucker just bid?

That's my Seti avatar, man...I'm a scary alien....rawr! (well, when I did S@H Classic here...when they dropped Classic support, I stopped crunching). I've been thinking of changing, but man, there's no really good avatars, and you can't use custom ones. 🙁

Well, I can't ban you and I can't throw you in Lake Ontario.

I would have liked to have proven your buoyancy.

Besides the fact that you're a "witch", didn't you say once that you weigh over 300lbs? I guess you can afford more food when you don't have to pay for graphics cards, eh? 😉

Muscle weighs more than fat. It also floats better. 😉

Unfortunately, you're nothing but dead weight here.

We don't care, really, and to be totally honest, I don't believe you, but it really matters very little to me.

There was another bidder. And yes, I know it was last week. I worked with him today, I didn't say he bid today.

I'll send you a PDF with my initials on the corner of the drawing.

The other thing I could always do is let you know the locations of buildings before they are actually built. Your seing them constructed would be "proof in the pudding".

Unfortunately, that is my profession's edition of an NDA and I can't tell you anything about the future expansion plans of any large retailer.

Fat weighs more than muscle. It also floats better. 😉

The two are contradictory. For the same volume, fat weighs less than muscle. That's why it floats better -- same amount of water displaced, yet blubber specific gravity is less than 1.0, so it floats. Lean, dense muscle is more than 1.0, and it sinks.

Not something you want to find out the hard way, BTW. If you've been living at the gym for a few years doing the whole bodybuilder no fat thang and still think you float fine, test the SHALLOW end of the pool first. Avoid the whole flounder around like an ape before sinking rocklike and having a lifeguard rescue you. It won't impress the chicks.

I edited my post, just for the sake of properly pwning Rollo before he is perma-pwn3d.

Thanks for the heads-up. I wouldn't want things to be tainted. 🙂

2. As I said before, my reception of hardware, and what it's intended use is, is really none of your business. If you don't think that ATi and nVIDIA want a true enthusiast putting their products through the paces, you're daft (and if you don't think I've had discussions about temps when cards are overclocked, or other issues SPECIFIC to tweaking cards, you're even more daft).

Why you've chosen to turn this into some sort of idiotic thread about ME is beyond me, but stop wasting everyone else's time.

It's not namecalling if it's true. Those words then become adjectives. Descriptors. And I think they're aptly put.

Now ah heck off to your biased threads, since we all know where YOU stand. At least I can say that I've offered up an unbiased stance between the 2 cards.

An nVZone moderator claiming he's unbiased? Come on man...

havn't you had enough already flaming threads already? the guy is simply suggesting a hands-on comparison of 2 of the fastest cards on the market right now, why must you start the flame? obviously neither your bias nor his belong to this thread.

Begger, no matter how much sucking up you do, I don't think they'll admit you into the AEG program after this scandal.

Not crapping, just giving a heads-up to those that don't know who he is or what his agenda is about. I wonder if Sony condones their hardware being used for review purposes on forums?

No, what you're being is an outright dick, and you don't know WHAT premise my cards arrive for. As with ArchAngel, if you can't be civil in my thread, leave.

My AGENDA is stated very clearly in the original post, nitwit. Now go banter ATi crap to someone who's willing to listen to you (like, I don't know..go back to the AEG thread or something).

You have serious issues, bud. Work them out.

Nothing I posted was false - you work for Sony and they happen to be an nVidia client for PS3. You have a strong nVidia bias and make it clearly evident and known. You have hardware given to Sony by both companies and are using it for personal reviews on a public forum. Lastly, you are a moderator for nVidia's nvZone forums. Is any of that false? Feel free to correct me and what's with the name calling?

None of this is relevant. It will be easy enough to verify his benches from comparison to other sites, for anyone with any sense.

Sorry OP, I couldn't stay out of this thread after this comment.

If we simply are going to compare them against known reviews, what is the point of having this review then? 😕

The difference is we can ask him questions about anything on the results, and we can request what we would like to see on the result. Com'on, the guy is doing us a favor, why make it hard?

Ok ok ok ok... We have all said what we wanted too, lets just let this thread continue on. I agree with many posts here, but we should be respectful of the thread now that we have said our peace. My post wasn't meant to be a flame and unfortunately I may have started all this. My post was just to inform users that I believe the OP has a bias and that they may have reason to be skeptical of the test results. Beyond that, there was no flaming and let us just let Ronin have his thread and post his results.

If the results seem skewed, feel free to post then, otherwise, lets just leave this thread knowing that we have said our peace to protect the innocent of possible deception, if any.
