First post here, and since im from Holland , pls excuse my english.

recently bought the following PC:

Asus p5n32-SLI deluxe
Intel P D 950
2 * 1 GB corsair ddr2 pc5400

with this system i wanted to buy a Gforce 7800 GTX, but due to delivering problems in the netherlands i'm lookin for a new card.
So i'm looking atm for a x1900xtx.

My question hereby is. Will my x1900xtx work on the
Asus p4n32-SLI deluxe, which has nforce chipset?

i know i cant use SLI, but i can't anyway with the x1900xtx and im not planning to go SLI in the near future.

tnx in advance for your response :)

regards,

Yes it will work just fine. You should have no problems. nVidia card should work on ATi chipsets and ATi cards should work on nVidia chipsets. I'm running an X1900XT on a DFI nForce4 Ultra-D with, expectedly, no problems.

Yes, it will work just fine. However, I suggest you get the X1900XT model, and not the XTX model. The performance difference is within the 5% mark, but you're probably paying a lot more for the XTX over the XT, unless pricing is drastically different in Holland than here. Over here, the XTX is $100 more than the XT.

yeah and you can crossfire on that mobo :) . Get the xtx model if you wanted to overclock as they are cherry picked cores and they can oc over 750Mhz easy :)

otherwise its XT :)

I did a mistake by getting XT because i never knew how well the XTX oced otherwise i would paid the extra cash :(

Last time I checked you cant go crossfire on an Nvidia chipset board. Did i miss something? I also heard XT can OC pretty well to.

Like the others have said, you'll be fine running the X1900XT on an Nforce4 board OP.

Don't be too discouraged. My XTX only oced 15-20Mhz more on both the core and mem over my XT. XT still ocs great and unless you're going for world records or have money to burn, it's not worth the extra $$.
