x1900xt no post problem

I just bought a new asus x1900xt 512mb card for my new asus am2 motherboard. when i turn the power on the motherboard beeps, 1 long and 2 short, which means a video card error acording to the motherboard manual, any help????
 
Make sure the power connector is plugged into the card and also make sure your power supply is strong enough to support it.

What's the brand? What's the amp rating on the 12v line? Not all power supplies are made equal, you can buy "500 watt" power supplies for $20 that aren't worth a damn and certainly won't be able to handle a system with a 1900xt installed.
