i am tempted to go PCIe . . . right now. 😛

price mistake?

i bet that would fit into your agp if you got it for for 200 or 300 😀 you could will it!

I saw this and I now somebody has to go buy it. I promised myself(and my wife) I wouldn't build a new rig until next yeat. So people buy them all, so I can't!

I still have it in my basket for $474. Now this is freaking tempting.

Edit: I just got my confirmation email.

I got a call from monarch earlier today, and they are in fact keeping the orders that were placed at the price-mistake'd price. I'm extremely happy about this, and hope that the rebate will still be valid (which wasn't mentioned). I'll wait until I get my rebate in the mail, but if that comes then monarch+the associated companies will get a very big thumbs up for me, and a nice resellerrating review. 🙂

PR move or not, I'm very happy with them following through.

Same here, got the same call, $100 pricing mistake. They are honoring the mistake, and the rebate will be valid. I have to say they handled this very well, and the person that called me was very friendly about it. PR move or not, they have great customer service, and honoring the price was a big bonus!

Wow, I bashed Monarch's slow shipping in the Opteron thread but have to give them kudos here. Admitting to and honoring a pricing mistake is definitely a way to gain customer loyalty.

That is cool. I got the call too on my answering machine, but I figured they were calling to cancel the order. I wonder if I need to call them back or will they go ahead and ship?

It's, because the price mistake wasn't that big.
Also Monarch seems to be the company that likes to associate themselves with good reputation.
They are over on these forums and Hard.
Even though their customer support and shipping department needs a lot of work i'll still order from them. 🙂
Good thing they use FedEx instead of UPS.

Glad to see some of us got in on this. It's really nice they are honoring the price, even though it was a mistake. Now, I just have to upgrade my 'old' computer...

I'm pretty sure this "mistake" was intentional, specifically designed to do what you are saying. Create a price mistake, leak the info, monitor sales, change the price after so many are sold, call those who got in personally, butter them up and sell to them anyway, make every one else think Monarch is awesome now.

Let's just hope they are equally as gracious when real problems come up.

Update: I got the card today, and it's an OEM card (I think). I was told on the phone by the rep that it was a retail card (he checked it while I was on the phone), and it says retail on my packing slip as well. Might have to email or call them as I'm not sure if the upc from the whitebox is going to be valid for the rebate. Hmm.
