Will I notice a difference if I upgrade to the X18 XT with 256 MB for $299 ? I have the X18 XL now and it runs perfect. Or should I wait for something like the X 1900 XL and if I should wait, will it be any faster than the X 18 XT ? Also........are there any reviews of the X18 XT anywhere ? I have searched, and came up only with the 512 MB cards. thanks

EDIT: Please don't recommend Nvidia as I know nothing about them

X1800XL or 7800GT should hold you till G80/R600 unless you absolutely have to upgrade. You yourself state that it does what you want it to do and you are satisfied. No point in upgrading for the sake of ePenis unless you want better performance.

Not sure about overclocking..only tried once. I got 547 on core, and about same on memory. But since it runs hot with the stock cooler, I think that is why. Was considering the X2 or one by Zalman. But not sure to do that or upgrade again.

Nothing to do with the ePenis. Honestly, I would like to have the 48 pixel shaders. That is why was considering the X1900 XL ( if its release with them ) Im going to be running Crossfire also...and would prefer a setup with more than 256 MB per card. I guess which means skip X18 series ( no 48 shaders ) and skip the X1800 XT with 256 ( no 512 MB ) Maybe Ill wait for the 19 XL ( hopefully with 48 shaders and 512 MB for Crossfire ) although it's clocked lower.

Save up and get a X1900XT. Don't get the X1900XL or an X1800XT. Or you could get an X1900XTX. :D
