would an 256MB ATI MOBILITY? RADEON® X1400 HyperMemory? be good enough for css on a 1680x1050 screen?

also, isnt it better than the 256MB NVIDIA® GeForce?Go 7300 TurboCache, then why is the 7300 more expensive

(both of them hypermemory/turbcache)

what? i have 1 and i can game on it not much playable past 12x10

all low. i mean its playable for some but for me i need above 50 frames ALL the time or the instant the frame drops i die.

You must suck, then. I'm playing with 20-30 FPS (with occasional drops to 5 FPS) and my KDR is usually around 1.5 to 2.
 
so the 7300 is better?

how ugly will the 1680x1050 look if i scale down the resolution?

srry for noob question: or can i play it will black bars on side?

also, doesnt the HL2 engine favour ATI?...so would the x1400 be better?

playable for me is at least 60frames consistent
 
A 7300GT may be better, but I dont think the GS is better than the x1400. The ATI card has the same number of pipes, and a 128-bit memory interface. The 7300GS has 4 pipes and a 64-bit memory interface (the GT has 8 pipes but still 64-bit interface).

no u must suck. 20-30 frame is not good.any real gamer will tell u that. why play at that res when if u drop the res frames will go to 75.
