The general consensus in everything I've found online is that the X1300 is a far inferior card to the 6800GT. But I've yet to see much about the X1300 Pro nor about the 6800XT. I believe that the XT is supposed to be a step down from the GT, and the prices that I've found reflect that. However, I can't really find any benchmarks of a X1300 Pro or a 6800XT.

How much of a difference are we talking here as far as performance in graphic-intensive games go?

Edit: We're talking the realm of AGP, not PCI-e.

i'd say a pretty big diff considering the 6800xt is a 256-bit interface and has 8 pipes compared to the x1300 4 pipes? im not sure if thats what each has but i know for sure that the xt has more pipes than it. go with the 6800xt if your having trouble choosing between the two

Now I'm having even more trouble choosing cuz I'm reading that a 6600GT is superior to the 6800XT and that a X800GTO is superior to both. I'm trying to keep the tag under $180 shipped so if you've got any suggestions please let me know. I've been out of the computer world ever since my rig got messed up a year ago and I haven't had the money to fix it. I want a card that'll give me a noticeable difference from the 9800 Pro that I'd been using for about a year before the CPU pins got bent.

Edit: So I've been looking around a bit more and I've found a X1600 Pro for $15 more than either the X1300 or the 6800XT. I'm gonna try to find benchmarks for this as well as a couple other cards. Can anyone tell me if I'm headed in the right direction?

winnar! great card.

generally I would stay away from the X1xxx series cards below the X1800XT, as they're not really worth the money.

x800 GTO > 6600 GT > X1600 PRO > 6800 XT > X1300

I think that pretty much sums it up! :)
