Just received the package today. Installed it and so far I am impressed with this. I hooked it up to my TV which has video out and anything displayed on my tv is displayed on the other tv downstairs connected to the video receiver unit. This works for me because I have a PC based Sigma Designs Hollywood Plus hooked up to video 1 on the Toshiba TV. I have a Geforce 3 T1 200 connected to Video 2. I can therefore view anything outputted to my Toshiba on the other TV downstairs. I use my PC as a TIVO like device using ATI TV Wonder to record to MPEG1 and then Hollywood Plus for TV playback. Before this video sender receiver unit came in, I am stuck upstairs in my room whenever I want to watch my prerecorded shows. Now I can watch them downstairs also. The other plus with this package is it comes with a Universal remote with an RF receiver. That's right, it is not just infrared -- it is RF too. Therefore I can use the remote downstairs to control the PC DVD player upstairs. Previously I thought I was going to have to buy a separate remote control that will allow me to control my PC upstairs. When I prefer to listen to music, I can switch the TV to video2 and display my desktop downstairs. I should be able to control Windows Media Player with the remote.(have not tested it yet, tomorrow will try). The boom software can be configured to control Winamp and Windows Media Player. If your player is not in the list like the DVD Station, you can still reprogram the software to map certain keystrokes and send them to your DVD software. So far I have mapped the forward, reverse, play, pause, stop buttons. I have one question though : Anybody know if a S-video signal can be split? ( I am thinking about splitting the S-video output from the Sigma Designs between the Video Sender unit and the TV.
