$x = scaral variable with a lousy name.
x$ = regex matching an 'x' at the end of a string.
$! = an error number variable.

I'm just pissed* at people saying "Blah blah blah, blah cost 45$ on ebay blah blah". I mean, you'd think they were educated in public schools or something. I saw some high school students having a "Student Council" carwash for "3$" once. Honestly... Student council doesn't know where to put the $?

*not pissed really, just a pet peeve.

The $ SHOULD go after the number. Do you say "three dollars" or do you say "dollars three"?

but $ doesn't necessarily mean dollar....it's dollar SIGN, so if u put in the front like "$3", it is symbolizing 3 as a monetary amount.

i'm tired, i don't know wtf i'm talking about.

That's what I thought when I looked at the title, and so I voted for the whiskey dance without reading any of the thread. Now I see that the question is about skrilla. Then yeah, the dollar sign definitely goes before the number. :p

I put the $ after when I type simply because I don't want to break my flow. I think it's a question of laziness as opposed to ignorance, at least in my case.
