X Phase Power?

Hi,

Can anyone explain to me what means for example a motherboard w/ 3 phase power? How can I reconize a 2 phase or 3 phase X phase power?

Thank You!

i think it's identified by the number of circular green things wrapped in copper wire located next to the socket, and i think they filter the power source, makeing your system more stable, but thats pretty much just an educated guess.

Yup, in general thats what it does. Most mobos currently have 3 phase power while some lower end ones may have 2. In this case, the more the better, though i don't know how much of a diff it makes.
